Saferworld, together with the International Peace Institute (IPI), the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC), Namati, Peace Direct, the Civil Society Platform for Peacebuilding and Statebuilding (CSPPS) and the TAP Network, recently launched a new campaign to showcase the best examples of work from around the world to implement the aspects related to peace, justice and inclusion in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG16+).
The campaign is asking people to submit a short video to explain how they are using SDG16+ or working on issues related to SDG16+. It might be very local work or a national initiative – whatever it does to build a peaceful, just and inclusive society – we want to hear about it.
The best videos will be showcased at the UN High-Level Political Forum – the space where governments review progress to achieving the SDGs - in New York this July.
There is no need to hire a professional to make the video - you can shoot this on a smartphone – the more authentic the better!
After a judging process, campaign partners will be sponsoring selected individuals who have submitted videos to come to New York and present at an event during the week of the HLPF.
So please submit your work for a chance to be considered for this opportunity. If you need to be sponsored, please submit the video before May 15th, 2019.
Submission process:
- Only entries submitted via the correct platform will be considered.
- The video must be no longer than four minutes. Entries that do not adhere to this will not qualify.
- If it is found that any entrant has knowingly provided false information, the entry will be disqualified.
- Include a brief written description supporting your video submission. By submitting an entry, you give permission for this information to be shared.
