On November 15th, 2020, the designated time frame for the latest mandate of the UN Multi-dimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) came to an end. The efforts in the Central African Republic (CAR) have not yet reached the objectives of MINUSCA's mandate, undermined by conflict and violence. This article illustrates the situation in CAR and the need for MINUSCA to remain in CAR by shedding light on a particular issue in the highest need of attention: conflict-related Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) against the male gender.
