Characteristics and logic of civilian possession of SALW in Mali

This note aims to support the ongoing review of small arms and light weapons (SALW) legislation in Mali. It outlines the main characteristics of civilian possession of SALW with a view to identify potential challenges to the public acceptance of the law under review. This note is part of a project funded by the Knowledge Management Fund to support and raise awareness on SALW legislation in Mali. It is also available in French.
