On behalf of the Steering Group of the Knowledge Platform Security & Rule of Law, we are pleased to announce that Mr. Anton du Plessis has been appointed member of the Steering Group.
“As an important global leader on rule of law, peace and security, we are convinced that the Platform will importantly benefit from his expertise, networks and leadership”, said Professor Willem van Genugten, Chair of the Steering Group.
Anton joins the Steering Group with more than 14 years of legal and management experience in the field of human security, international criminal justice and rule of law issues in over 20 African countries. “I am honored to accept the invitation to serve on the Steering Group of the Platform”, said Anton du Plessis. “I have always been impressed by the initiative. So I was particularly encouraged by recent developments that have moved the Platform from the conceptualization phase into concrete activities aimed at enhancing knowledge sharing and identifying key intervention areas”.
