Dear KPSRL network,
Since 2020 I have been part of this vibrant network, supporting you in continuously deepening your expertise, or exploring new themes and geographies. I am happy to announce that I will continue this mission in the position as KPSRL’s Head of Secretariat! Thank you to Sever Džigurski for all the hard work and creativity you poured into the KPSRL network as Head of Secretariat in the past three years. And to Fiona Kennedy for guiding us cheerfully through the many logistical challenges.
What a time to start this new role though: the value of rule of law is questioned worldwide, we are returning to outdated and limited ideas of what security means (more weapons!), the sector is facing severe budget cuts and KPSRL’s funding is coming to an end. Thankfully, I can still sleep at night knowing the KPSRL network to be innovative, engaged and tireless. You will turn these challenges into opportunities to build resilient alliances for peace and to reinvent Global North-South relationships.
In the coming six months, we at the KPSRL Secretariat will support you through:
Finishing/handing over ongoing trajectories: finishing ongoing learning trajectories or transferring the lead to engaged network members.
Uptake: Ensuring findings over the past years find their way to policy and practice through summarizing reports, events around recommendations etc.
