The Hague Academy for Local Governance is offering a blended short training on Conflict, Rule of Law and Local Security. The training will consist on an online module, starting in October, followed by a face-to-face module that will be schedule as soon as travel restrictions are lifted.
How can local actors improve human and state security in conflict-affected areas? What challenges affect the local government’s ability to promote the rule of law? How can citizens be enabled to actively use the law? And how can human security approaches work in the context of violent extremism?
This intensive training will equip you with practical and academic tools to work towards community security. The course will explore the link between inclusive economic development, stabilization and sustaining peace. In addition, the course discuss experiences from different countries with local security policies and security sector reform.
