Marja Esveld

Marja Esveld is an infectious diseases epidemiologist by training. Since August 2023 she works for the Department for Stability and Humanitarian Aid as Deputy Head of the division for Security and Rule of Law at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2021-2023 Marja was Deputy Ambassador and Head of Development Cooperation for the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Burundi. In the years before, she served as Deputy Head of the Health and Aids division at the Foreign Ministry and worked at the Department for International Affairs at the Ministry of Health.
