Bishnu Upreti

Bishnu Raj Upreti from Nepal did his PhD in conflict management (1998-2001) and MSc in Agri Knowledge Systems Management (1996-1998) from Wagheningen University and Research, the Netherland. His has more than 4 decades of experiences of a) development cooperation (SNV, SDC, DIFD, etc.), b) research and teaching (Uni. of Surrey and Uni. of London, Kathmandu University, Agriculture and Forestry University, Nepal). He has lead or co-led several collaborative research with British, Swiss, Norwegian universities and research institutes. Bishnu has actively work in many north-south research partnership and extensively published. collaborative research. Recently he has completed three years tenure at the Nepal Government think tank called Policy Research Institute (PRI) directly working under the Prime Minister's Office. Now he is serving as Research Director at NCCR, a think tank working on the contemporary issues. Most of the research work of bishnu are focused on conflict management, unconventional security, state building, human security, peace process.
