Mary Martin

Mary Martin is a Senior Policy Fellow at LSE IDEAS, the LSE’s foreign policy and strategy think tank, and Director of the UN Business and Human Security Initiative. She is currently working with the United Nations to mobilise private sector engagement with the Sustainable Development Goals, and peacebuilding through trialling an innovative model of multi-stakeholder partnership, the Human Security Business Partnership Framework, developed by her research programme. She is the lead author of the 2022 report ‘Maximising Business Contributions to sustainable development and positive peace. A human security approach’, prepared for the UN Secretary-General. Other recent publications include ‘Corporate Peace. How global business shapes a hostile world’ published by Hurst Books.
