Thesis entitled, ‘Policies Towards Combating Terrorism And Its Impacts On Human Rights’. It was written whilst I was seconded to the London Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, London University (2005-2007). • Bachelor of Education, Faculty of Education, English Department, Alazhar University, Gaza City, Palestine (1991-1995). Professional Experience: • October 2018: Palestine National Authority, Environment Quality Authority, Director of Sustainable Development Unit. • October 2006 – June 2011: Main researcher at the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, DDU. I have had run several projects such as "Torture in PA's Prisons, Combating Death Penalty in Palestine", as well fully participated on human rights issues regarding democratic transformation in Palestine, Woman empowerment and political participation, extrajudicial killing in (oPt) by IOF, and freedom of speech. • April 1996 – September 2006: Full–time member of Negotiations Affairs Department (NAD). I run the Research Unit. Over the course of my work I involved in several projects: - Research studies. - Assistant of Negotiations Committee of Displaced Persons, - Assistant of Negotiations Committee of Permanent Status Talks. Most Important Training Courses: • June 13 –July 1 2019: "International Training in the Non Violence in the Context of War or Armed Conflict", Center for Training and Networking in No violent Action, Berlin/ Germany. • May 2007: I visited the European Court for Human Rights (ECHR), the European Parliament in Brussels (EUP), the International Court of Justice ( ICJ), and the International Criminal Court (ICC) for study purposes. • January - June 2004: I attended five months training program on "Conflict Transformation, in Boon City, Germany. It was organized by Forum Ziviler Friedensdienst E.V (Civil Peace Service)". The program included topics on: conflict analysis, mediation, negotiations, conflict prevention, conflict management, conflict resolution, conflict transformation, non-violent communication, Media and project management. I have had the tittle "Conflict Consultant" by the German Academy of Conflict Transformation. • November 2001: I attended two weeks "International Training Program on Capacity Building for the Palestinian Press Attaché", at the Diplomatic Training Unit of Palestine Ministry of International Affairs. • August 2001: I attended two weeks Seminars on ‘Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of Middle East Countries’, Organized by the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC), Ayia Napa City, Cyprus. I have had working paper on the cultural rights on Palestine. • October 2000 – January 2001: I attended five months (Specialist English Training Course), the Institute of English and Foreign Languages, in Hyderabad city, India. The three months program, sponsored by the Indian Foreign Ministry, offered linguistic expertise to outstanding students. • April 1999: I attended three weeks "Protocol Management Training Course", the Palestinian Diplomatic Training Unit (under the Auspices of Palestine Ministry of International Affairs), Gaza city, Palestine. • September 1999: I attended three weeks "International Relations Training Course", Moroccan Foreign Ministry, Rabat, Morocco, November 1999. The two weeks learning program included topics on international organizations, Euro-Mediterranean cooperation, as well as briefings from senior Moroccan Government Officials on Morocco foreign policy. • August 1998: I attended two weeks "International Relations Training Course", Moroccan Foreign Ministry, Rabat, Morocco, August 1998. The three weeks diplomacy training program included topics on protection and realization of human rights, lectures on promote better understanding of the dynamic of international politics, as well as negotiation skills. • September- December 1997: I attended Intensive Training Program Course for employees of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA). The three months training program, September 22 - December 19, was held in United Nations Headquarter, New York City, under the auspices of the UN Secretariat Department of Politic Affairs. The program included various topics: attended plenary meetings of the UN main organs regarding Palestine Cause and Middle East Conflict, briefings from senior officials of UN and representatives of many permanent missions, attended all the Arabic group meetings, as well as involved in research project about Palestinian/Israeli struggle.
