Susanne Conrad

As a Policy Advisor, I work on approaches and emerging challenges in the field of security and rule of law in fragile and conflict-affected settings in Sub-Saharan Africa. My key areas of work are the analysis of effective interventions (peace & training missions), transnational threats (Islamist militancy), improving governance in security and defence issues (security sector governance and reform) and modernising access to justice to resolve and prevent conflicts on the African continent. This includes supervising the activities of our security political dialogues in West and East Africa regional programmes (SIPODI West & East) and our two rule of law regional programmes (Anglophone & Francophone) in Sub-Saharan Africa.
