Giorgio joined the Knowledge Platform for Security & Rule of Law (KPSRL) in May 2021 as the Learning Officer. He leads the internal learning strategy of the Platform’s Secretariat, questioning the relevance and effectiveness of the Platform’s model and facilitating learning around it. He also contributes to cross-organizational learning among the Platform’s members and provides on-demand support to key members of the Platforms on their theory of changes and learning pathways.
Prior to joining the platform, Giorgio spent four years at consultancy company MDF, where he conducted evaluations of sustainable development and international relations projects, programmes, and instruments. He successfully acquired, designed, conducted, and led evaluative research in the fields of good governance, access to justice, humanitarian action, sustainable economic development and trade, advocacy, and climate change action.
Before that, Giorgio worked as a business analysist at LTS International, which focuses on the implementation and M&E of climate resilience and climate mitigation programs in development countries.
Giorgio has a lawyer’s training and solid foundations in political and economic sciences. He holds a MSC from the London School of Economics in International Development and Humanitarian Affairs, a master’s degree in diplomacy from the University of Bologna, and a LLM from the University of Milan (Statale).
