Biography
I am a conservation biologist. For the past 10 years, I have worked with the Institute of Tropical Forest Conservation(ITFC) in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park as a research officer and a project manager among many other responsibilities. My research interests include: human-wildlife interactions, political ecology and ecological monitoring and assessments. I hold a MSc in Tropical Forestry from Bangor University in Wales and BSc in Wildlife Management from Makerere University in Uganda. I have been lucky to experience conservation from a biologist’s and social scientist’s perspective. My PhD focuses on the manifestation of Human-wildlife Conflicts in the social political spaces of local communities in Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Impenetrable national parks in Uganda. When I am not talking conservation, I put on my hiking boots and ramble through hills with friends
